Director of SAFIBRA nominated for EY entrepreneur of the year

The nomination of our director, Ing. Ladislav Šašek, CSc. for the 23rd round of the world-renowned competition “EY Entrepreneur of the Year of the Czech Republic” was a pleasant surprise. Representatives of the Central Bohemian Innovation Center (SIC) nominated him for the outstanding business personality category of the EY Technology Entrepreneur Of The Year.

„I was very pleased to be nominated by the SIC and I did not hesitate for a moment whether joining the competition was the right choice. I believe that I will benefit from the extensive personal interactions with other entrepreneurs in the competition and grow professionally,” says Ladislav Šašek.

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year is the world’s biggest and most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs which was launched in the Czech Republic in 2000. It recognizes interesting business personalities with extraordinary stories and values such as honesty and integrity. Entrepreneurs who, on their way to success, had to overcome many obstacles whilst accepting them as an inevitable part of the process and an opportunity to move forward. 

„Together with my business partners, Jaroslav Veselý and Michal Mazanec, we founded SAFIBRA in 1999. We develop unique fiber optic products and seek innovative solutions to issues across many industries where conventional methods fail. We cultivate long-term relationships, a proactive approach to customer needs, and fairness. We listen to market feedback and constantly look for improvement opportunities,“ adds Šašek.

The winners will be chosen by a panel of independent judges on 28 February 2023. We wish our director and all candidates much success.
