Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors and detectors measure not only temperature and strain measurements. They are also widely used in harsh and industrial environemntal conditions as an alternative to traditional electrical and mechanical sensors or detectors, where they monitor physical parameters, such as deformation, pressure, vibration, inclination, displacement etc.
